The collection of educational-methodical and scientific-research papers "Transport and Machinebuilding" was founded in 2006. The journal is published 3 times a year. The 61st issue was published in December 2024.

The editor-in-chief of the journal since 2023 is Boris Gitolendia, Associate Professor, Doctor of Business Administration, Dean of the Faculty of Transport Systems and Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Georgia (STU).
The goal of the journal "Transport and Machinebuilding" is to periodically publish scientific-research papers prepared by the faculty members and technical staff. At the same time, it aims to discover successful students involved in research and directly engage them in the work carried out by the faculty members.
The journal aims to achieve a high scientific status and authority both at the national and international levels, as well as to occupy a niche similar to internationally recognized scientific journals. The journal follows the ethics of scientific publication. The publication of articles is free of charge.
